We define an asset as a physical item used to achieve organizational goals. Assets include buildings, land, tools, pieces of equipment, and IT infrastructure. Well-run organizations track Assets to make robust maintenance and capital decisions. This is an important strategy to help ensure that the cost of repairs does not run higher than an asset’s depreciated value.

You can learn more about Asset Filters by watching the MaintainX Advanced Asset Filters video.

You also may want to watch Lesson 9 in the Introductory Course to review how you add a new Asset to your MaintainX organization and detailed information you can add about the asset. This information is important because the detail and accuracy of that information will allow you to take full advantage of our Asset Filters. And remember the filters will only be useful if you enter information accurately and completely.
