Go to Procedure Library
then click on
to create a new procedure on the desktop version of MaintainX.
You will be given the following choices:
A. Blank Template – Create a blank template where you can create your own procedure from scratch.
B. Use a Template – Search for an existing template from Global Procedure Library to add to your own procedures
C. Import Forms – This option will direct you to our MaintainX Support Team which will assist you in creating procedures for you. Upload the file(s) you would like to have digitized.
a. Please make sure that the document size is smaller than 4MB
b. Please make sure that your document is not password protected.
Creating a New Procedure using a Blank Template
Procedure Name – Add the title of your procedure
Description – Add a description to help describe the use/purpose of your procedure
Field Name – This is where you will be placing your data
+ Field – Adds a new field
+ Heading – Adds a new header field for separating sections
Add Template – Add an existing template from the Global Procedure Library
a. Field Type – You may choose from 12 field types to use for your procedure
b. Add a Picture/Image – You may add one (1) image per field to support your data
c. Add a File – You may add one (1) file per field to support your data
d. Add a Link – You may add one (1) link per field to support your data
e. Delete Field – This option deletes the current field from the procedure
Checkbox – Creates a checkbox where users can check off to complete the task.
Text Field – Creates a field where users can add any kind of text into.
Number Field – Creates a field where users can add only numbers into the fields
Amount ($) – Creates a field where users can add the amount in dollars ($)
Multiple Choice – Creates a field where users can choose answers from multiple choices
Checklist – Creates a field where users can tick numerous checkboxes in one field.
Inspection Check – Creates a field that would let users choose if their inspection has passed, failed or needs to be flagged with comments.
Yes, No, N/A – Creates a field that would let users answer with Yes, No, or N/A.
Picture /File Field – Creates a field that would let users add pictures/files
Signature Block – Creates a field that would let users sign their signature
Date – Creates a field where you could add the date and time
Meter Reading – Creates a field that would let users indicate their meter readings
