Configure the Erbessd PHANTOM Gateway to push sensor data to MaintainX®. These steps take place on the gateway or in Erbessd's software, not in MaintainX.
Prerequisites
- MaintainX connector token: Generated when you create a connector instance in MaintainX. For more information, see Set Up the ERBESSD INSTRUMENTS® Integration.
- Gateway access: Depending on your setup, either an EI Analytics account connected to the target gateway, or a computer on the same network as the gateway to use its local admin interface.
The steps below use EI Analytics Gateway Manager. If you don't have EI Analytics access, you can make the same changes directly on the gateway's local admin interface instead.
Update the Gateway and Sensor Firmware
- Log in to app.eianalytic.com, select Database, then select Gateway Manager.
- Find your target gateway and select the link under Admin console.
- In the admin console, select System tools, then select System firmware update.
- Select Check online status to check for an available firmware update. If one is available, select Update.
Point the Gateway at MaintainX
-
In the Gateway Manager, select Config.
-
Select Send data to custom Cloud.
-
Enter the following settings:
- POST Request Format:
JSON format - Custom Cloud endpoint URL:
https://agent.maintainx.com/agent/phantom/payload - Auth token: The connector instance token you copied in MaintainX.
- POST Request Format:
-
Save your settings. The gateway reboots to reload your changes.
When the gateway successfully sends its first payload to MaintainX, the following things happen:
- The gateway status updates to
Cloud: OK. - In MaintainX, the connector instance changes from Waiting for Connection to Connected.
When you first save the gateway settings, the status might still show Cloud: FAIL, even if the URL and token are correct. This is expected behavior. The status doesn't update until you pair a sensor and the gateway receives its first payload from it.
Verify Data Is Flowing
- From the sidebar, select Meters.
- From the list, find a meter for the asset, prefixed with the registered sensor's serial number.
- Select the meter to open it.
- In the Readings section, select See All Readings to confirm new readings are arriving.
Allow up to 15 minutes after the gateway connects for the first readings to arrive.
