Using the RFC Connector
The Remote Function Call (RFC) connector enables bidirectional synchronization of data between MaintainX® and SAP.
The integration uses BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interface) for transactional operations and IDocs for event-driven data exchange. It also requires the On-Premise Agent (OPA) be installed within your network.
Requirements​
Before you set up the integration, confirm you have the following:
- SAP ECC, S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, or S/4HANA On-Premise Edition
- SAP admin access
- A license for the SAP JCo libraries (contact your SAP provider)
- A Workato account, provided by your MaintainX integrations consultant
