Create a Direct Connection between Workato and SAP

This article explains how to create a connection between SAP and the Workato On-prem agent (OPA). You do this configuration in the Workato web application, but you'll need information from the SAP Logon Pad and SAP GUI.

To create the connection in Workato:

  1. Navigate to the Workato Connections Page. An SAP connection will exist called [MaintainX] | SAP | Direct Connection. Select it to display the configuration page.

  2. Set On-prem group to {COMPANY} On Prem Group.

  3. Set Connection type to Direct.

  4. Fill in the Network connection settings with your SAP server information.

    ParameterDescriptionRequired?
Gateway hostSpecifies a direct connection to the SAP host.

This can be a DNS name or the IP address of the SAP application server you are connecting to (format xx.xx.xx.xx).

You can find this information on the SAP Logon Pad that you use to access your on-premise SAP application server.

    • macOS: libsapcrypto.dylib

For example, on Windows, the path might be:

    C:\sec\sapcrypto.dll.
