Supported Languages
You can use MaintainX in several different languages. The display language is a user preference, so each user can use MaintainX in their preferred language. When a user changes their display language, it updates both the mobile app and the web app. If your organization has a multilingual workforce, switching languages can help your teams use MaintainX more easily, and work together more effectively.
To learn how to change the display language for your account, see Change the Display Language.
How We Translate the MaintainX User Interface
MaintainX uses language specialists and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with translation. This approach lets us focus our translation efforts where the need is greatest, while still supporting as many languages as possible.
- Languages marked MaintainX Reviewed are validated by language specialists at MaintainX, and by MaintainX users who report translation issues.
- Languages marked User Reviewed are validated by MaintainX users who report translation issues.
For more information about how to report an issue, see Report a Translation Issue.

Display Language Limitations
Here are some important things to know about MaintainX's language support:
- MaintainX develops features in English first and then translates them. If a feature has not been translated yet, the original English text appears.
- When you change the display language, only the MaintainX user interface text appears in the new language. User-generated text such as messages and comments are not translated. They appear in the same language users wrote them in.
- Changing the display language doesn't change any region-specific settings. For example, if you switch MaintainX to your local language, it doesn't change your date or currency settings.
- AI-assisted translations might contain errors or irregularities. You can report translation issues to your MaintainX representative or the Support team.
Report a Translation Issue
To report an issue with one of our translations, contact your MaintainX representative or MaintainX Support.
To make sure we fully understand the issue, and can correct it quickly, make sure to include the following details:
- Language: Which language is the issue in?
- Current Text: What does the incorrect translation say in the app?
- Suggested Text: What do you think it should say instead?
- Platform: Did you see it in the Web application, the Mobile application, or both?
- App Section: What screen or part of the app were you in? (e.g., Work Order Details, Messaging tab)
- Flow or Action: What were you doing when you noticed the issue?
- Screenshot (if possible): This helps us locate and fix the issue faster.
- Additional Comments (optional): Any other context about why the translation feels off? For example, if it’s unclear for field users, sounds too formal, or differs from the rest of the app.
We’ll pass this information along to our team for review. Some fixes might appear right away. Others might only appear the next time we update the language.
