This article answers frequently asked questions about notifications in the MaintainX application.

Why don't I get notifications when I make changes to a work order?β
To prevent notification overload, MaintainX doesn't send you notifications for actions you complete or changes you make. The system assumes you're aware of them. For more information, see About Notifications.
Why don't my coworkers get notifications when I @mention them in work order comments?β
Users only receive notifications for comments and @mentions in work orders they create and work orders they're assigned to (directly or as part of a team).
If you only want to receive notifications when you're @mentioned in a comment, change your notification settings. From the sidebar, select Settings > Notification Settings > and select Only mentions in comments. For more information, see Manage Your Notification Settings.
Why do I get push notifications on my mobile device, but not email notifications?β
In-app push notifications are separate from email notifications. For more information about how to adjust your notification settings, see Manage Your Notification Settings.
If your notifications are set up correctly, try reinstalling the MaintainX application. If you still don't receive notifications, contact the MaintainX Support team for assistance.
My teammate and I are assigned to the same work order. Why do they get email notifications, but I don't?β
You might have unsubscribed from MaintainX emails, or your company's security might automatically unsubscribe you from marketing emails.
Some MaintainX product emails (e.g., for work orders or scheduled reports) come from the same sender as our marketing emails. If you block marketing emails, you might not receive other MaintainX emails either.
To re-subscribe:
- Open the last email you received from MaintainX
- Scroll to the bottom, and select the Manage Email Preferences link.
- Set the MaintainX Unsubscribe option to No.
I'm not getting notifications at all. What should I do?β
