This article explains how an Administrator can generate a PIN for a user and update the inactivity timer.
Generate a PIN for a User​
An Administrator can generate a PIN for one user at a time that doesn't have one.
To generate a PIN for a user:

Log into the MaintainX web application.

From the sidebar, select Teams/Users.

From the Teams/User module, select the user that you want to generate a PIN for.

Select Edit PIN for Workstation Mode.

Enter a new PIN.
The PIN length is limited to 4 digits.

Select Confirm PIN.
The new PIN is created for the user.
A MaintainX employee can also generate a PIN for all the organization's users that don't have one. For more information, see Create PINs for Your Whole Organization.
Update the Inactivity Timer​
You can set the inactivity timer for workstation mode. This feature helps secure the system and minimizes the risk of an unauthorized user accessing it. A session will be automatically closed after that period of inactivity (in minutes). By default, the inactivity timer is set at 10 minutes.
To update the inactivity timer:

Log into the MaintainX web application.

From the sidebar, select Settings and then select Features.

Navigate to the Workstation Mode section and select Set Preferences.

Toggle the Set Inactivity Time setting on and enter the desired time in minutes.
You have now updated the inactivity timer.
Toggle the Set inactivity Time setting off if you want to disable it.
