Create a Meter Reading Work Order

You can manually create a work order to record a meter reading. This allows you to request a technician to go record a meter reading. On the Meters screen, the meter reading values entered on the work order are automatically displayed.

To create a meter reading work order:

Follow the steps below for the web or mobile application:

  1. From the sidebar, select Meters.

  2. From the list, navigate to the meter that you would like to create a meter reading work order for.

  3. Select the meter to open it.

  4. On the meter details page, select more options.

  5. Select Use in New Work Order. The New Work Order dialog box opens.

  6. Enter the work order details. For more information see, Create a Work Order.

    tip

    When you create a meter reading work order, be sure to include the relevant meter in the title and the frequency of readings that should be performed. This allows you to quickly identify what the work order is about.

  7. Select Create.

    The work order to record the meter reading is created.
