Create a Procedure From a Template

The Procedure Hub is a collection of maintenance procedures for specific industries, machines, and equipment shared by MaintainX and our customers. You can add procedures from the Procedure Hub to your procedure library, and upload procedures from your library to the Procedure Hub to share them with the MaintainX community.

Use the Procedure Hub search engine to search procedures based on their industry and/or type (maintenance, audit, etc.). You can also use public procedures as templates to create your own procedures tailored to your organization's needs.

To add a procedure from the Procedure Hub to your library:

  1. From the sidebar, select Library.

  2. In the Library module, select Procedures.

  3. Select + New Procedure Template.

  4. Select Use a template. MaintainX redirects you to the Procedure Hub.

  5. To find procedures, do one of the following:

    • From the sidebar, select an industry and type to display a list of matching procedures.
    • Use the search bar to filter by industry, type, and specific keywords.
  6. Select a procedure in the generated list of procedures.

  7. Select any of the following:

    Send it to my phone!
    1. Select this option to generate a QR code to open the MaintainX mobile application.
    2. On the mobile application, select Take me to the Procedure.
    3. Do any of the following:
      • Add the procedure to a work order.
      • Edit the procedure.
    Open in Desktop AppSelect this option to open the procedure in the MaintainX web application.
    You can do any of the following:
    • Select Customize Template to create an editable copy of the procedure.
    • Add the procedure to a work order.
    Download as PDF
    1. Select Download as PDF .
    2. Enter your email address.
    3. Select Download Procedure PDF to download a PDF version of the procedure on your computer.
    You can then print the procedure or upload it in MaintainX.
