Delete a Cycle Count

This article explains how to delete a cycle count. If the cycle count is in progress when you delete it, MaintainX deletes the associated work order as well. Your inventory is not updated because the cycle count wasn't complete.

Deleting cycle count work orders

You can't delete the work order for a cycle count. Instead, you have to delete the cycle count itself. When you delete the cycle count, MaintainX deletes the work order automatically, and stops all future occurrences. Previous occurrences of the work order are not deleted. You can still access them (e.g., for reporting).

To delete a cycle count:

  1. From the sidebar, select Parts > Cycle Counts.
  2. From the Cycle Counts module, select the cycle count you want to delete.
  3. In the cycle count details, select (more options), then select Delete.
  4. When prompted, confirm that you want to delete the cycle count, and its associated work order.
