Delete a Vendor

This article explains how to delete a vendor, bulk delete vendors, and restore a deleted vendor.

Delete a Vendor​

  1. From the sidebar, select Vendors.
  2. Select (Split View) or (Table View).
  3. Select the vendor you want to delete.
  4. On the vendor details page, select (more options).
  5. Select Delete.
  6. When prompted, select Confirm to delete the vendor.

When you delete a vendor, the vendor details page displays the date and time it was deleted.

Oops! I deleted a vendor by mistake

As long as the vendor details are still open, you can restore the deleted vendor. Select (more options), and then select Restore.

If you closed the vendor details, you can restore the vendor from the Table view in the MaintainX desktop app. See Restore a Deleted Vendor

Bulk Delete Vendors​

You can only bulk delete vendors in the MaintainX web app.

To bulk delete vendors:

  1. From the sidebar, select Vendors.
  2. Select (Split View) or (Table View).
  3. In the table, hover over a vendor's icon until a checkbox appears.
  4. Select the checkbox for each vendor you want to delete.
  5. Select the (Trash can) icon to delete the selected vendors.
  6. When prompted, select Confirm to delete the vendors.

If you are in Table View, the deleted vendors appear highlighted in the table.

You can restore any vendors you deleted by mistake. For details, see Restore a Deleted Vendor.

Restore a Deleted Vendor​

You can only restore deleted vendors in the MaintainX web app.

To restore a deleted vendor:

  1. From the sidebar, select Vendors.

  2. Select (Table View).

  3. In the Table view, select (Settings).

  4. In the Table view settings, go to Options and toggle on Show only deleted Vendors.

  5. Select Apply.

    The Table view changes to display only deleted vendors.

  6. To select the vendors you want to restore:

    1. Hover over the icon of each deleted vendor you want to restore until a checkbox appears.
    2. Select the checkbox.
  7. From the Edit Vendors toolbar, select (Restore).

  8. When prompted, select Confirm to restore the selected vendors.
