Edit a Work Request

You can edit a pending work request to change or update it before an Administrator reviews it. After the Administrator approves or declines the request, you can no longer edit it.

To edit a work request:

  1. From the sidebar, select Requests.
  2. From the list pane, select a pending request to edit.
  3. In the request details pane, select Edit.
  4. Make any required changes to the work request.
  5. Select Update to save your changes.
Why can't I edit a request after it's approved or declined?

After an Administrator approves a work request, the request data is transferred to the corresponding work order, and the original request is locked. If you want to change an approved request, contact the Administrator and they can edit the work order.

You can find the name of the approving Administrator, and the ID of the work order in the original work request.

Declined requests are also locked, but don’t have a corresponding work order to update. To submit new or updated information for the Administrator, you have to submit a new request.
