Delete a Request Portal

This article explains how to delete and restore a request portal.

Delete a request portal to permanently remove it from your organization. After you delete a portal, users who try to access it get an error message.

To delete a request portal:

  1. From the sidebar, open the Settings menu and select Features.
  2. Navigate to Request Portals, and select Go to Request Portals >.
  3. From the Request Portals list, navigate to the request portal that you would like to delete.
  4. Select more options.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. When prompted, select Confirm to delete the portal.

When you delete a portal the Portal Information page stays open. If you deleted the portal by mistake, select more options and then select Restore to restore it.

After you navigate away from the Portal Details page, you can no longer restore the portal. However, you can still restore it if you have enabled the option to show deleted request portals. For details, see Show Deleted Request Portals.

Show Deleted Request Portals​

To show deleted request portals:

  1. From the sidebar, open the Settings menu and select Features.
  2. Navigate to Request Portals, and select Go to Request Portals >.
  3. In the Request Portals list, select (Settings) and toggle Show deleted Request Portals on.
  4. Select Apply.

Restore Deleted Request Portals​

You can restore deleted request portals if you have enabled the option to show deleted request portals. Restoring a portal makes it available again.

To restore a deleted request portal:

  1. From the sidebar, open the Settings menu and select Features.
  2. Navigate to Request Portals, and select Go to Request Portals >.
  3. In the Request Portals list, select (Settings) and toggle Show deleted Request Portals on.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. From the Request Portals list, navigate to the request portal you want to restore (it appears grayed out).
  6. Select more options.
  7. Select Restore.
  8. When prompted, select Confirm to restore the portal.
