Quote settings control what customers see and must complete when they review a quote. Settings you configure here apply to every quote your organization creates.

Access Quote Settings​

To access quote settings:

  1. From the sidebar, select Settings > Features.
  2. On the Features page, navigate to Quotes, and select Set Preferences.

Require a PO Number​

When you toggle this option on, customers must add a purchase order (PO) number before accepting a quote. The PO number is not connected to your MaintainX organization. It's the number the customer uses to track purchase orders in their system.

Require a Signature​

When you toggle this option on, customers must add a signature when accepting a quote. The signature field appears in the quote the customer sees. After they approve the quote, a copy of the signature appears in the quote details.

Add Terms and Conditions​

Add your organization's terms and conditions for service quotes. Terms and conditions that you define in the Quotes settings appear in every quote that you send.

Default Tax​

Specify a tax percentage to add by default. The tax name and percentage you set here appear in all new quotes, but you can modify or remove it from individual quotes as needed. For more information about adding tax to quotes, see Add Taxes.

When you add the default tax, it's only applied to new quotes, not quotes that are already in progress.
