Edit or Delete Messages

After you send a message, you can edit or delete it from the conversation or team chat where it was sent. You can only edit or delete messages that you sent.

Edit a Message

Web

1. From the sidebar, select Messages.
2. Hover over the message you want to edit.
3. Select the (edit) icon.
4. Make the desired changes.
5. Press the Enter/ Return key.

Mobile

1. Long press the message you want to edit.
2. Select the (edit) icon.
3. Make the desired changes.
4. Select Save.

React to a Message

You can react to a message with an emoji to quickly show others you've seen or acknowledged it.

Web

1. Hover over the message you want to react to.
2. Select the (add reaction) icon.
3. Select the reaction icon you want to add.

Mobile

1. Long press the message you want to react to.
2. Select from the Commonly Used icons or select the (add reaction) icon.
3. Select the reaction icon you want to add.

Delete a Message

Requester users cannot delete messages.

warning

Deleted messages cannot be restored. Please proceed with caution.

Web

1. Hover over the message you want to delete.
2. Select the (trash) icon.
3. When prompted, select Confirm to delete the message.

Mobile

1. Long press the message you want to delete.
2. Select (trash) Delete Message.
3. When prompted, select Yes to delete the message.
