PM Plan Auditor reviews your asset's preventive maintenance plan, conformity with OEM recommendations, and completion history.
When to Use PM Plan Auditor
You can use PM Plan Auditor to check whether an asset's PM plans are working as intended, for example after repeated unplanned downtime.
Before You Start
To use the PM Plan Auditor skill, you need:
- Permission to view work orders, preventive maintenance plans, and procedures.
- Permission to create work orders, if you want the skill to suggest a corrective action.
For more information, see User Roles and Permissions.
Data the Skill Reviews
PM Plan Auditor uses the following information to generate an audit:
| Data | Information Reviewed |
|---|---|
| Preventive maintenance plans | Active preventive maintenance plans for the asset. |
| Downtime history | The asset's planned and unplanned downtime history. |
| Work orders | Open and completed work orders on the asset, including filled procedure steps and any corrective work orders that reference them. |
| OEM manual | The asset's OEM manual, where available. The skill searches the manual to compare it with your PM plans. |
When setting up the skill, you can select which asset to include in the audit.
Limitations
PM Plan Auditor has the following limitations:
| Limitation | Details |
|---|---|
| Single asset | The skill reviews one asset per run. |
| Manual comparison | The skill only compares what it can find in an attached manual. When it can't verify a criterion, it says so. |
| Corrective actions | The skill infers corrective actions from work order descriptions, because no structured link exists between a PM work order and the corrective action it creates. It might miss a follow-up that doesn't reference the original work order. |
| RCA history | The skill doesn't review root cause analysis (RCA) history. |
| Suggestions | The skill only suggests rescheduling or reassigning PM plans. |
Review the audit before taking any action. For more information about the safeguards MaintainX® applies to all AI-powered skills, see Built-In Safeguards.
