Use the Recurrence options to make a work order repeat at pre-set intervals. A series of repeating work orders is also called a work order chain.
A work order must have a due date before you can make it repeat. If you set the Recurrence before you set a due date, MaintainX will add the next day's date as the due date automatically.

Recurrence for Multi-Asset Work Orders
When you create a multi-asset work order, you can only set recurrence options for the parent work order. You can't change the recurrence options for sub-work orders.
The parent work order's recurrence schedule controls the recurrence of the parent work order itself and all its sub-work orders. Every time the parent work order recurs, MaintainX recreates the parent work order and all it's sub-work orders.
Sub work orders don't repeat when they're closed, they repeat on the same schedule as their parent work orders. When a multi-asset work order repeats, sub-work orders' due dates are re-aligned with their parent work orders' due dates.
You can't add a non-recurring sub-work order to a multi-asset work order. Any sub-work orders you add will repeat with the parent until you remove them.
