Delete a Global Procedure
This feature is only available in the MaintainX web application for Enterprise accounts. To use it, you must have a Global Leader user role. For details, see Global Leader.
This article explains how to delete a global procedure and explains the impact on sub-organizations that use global procedures.
Deleting a global procedure archives it in all sub-organizations’ procedure libraries. Organizations can no longer use the procedure in new work orders, but it will still be available in existing work orders that use it, as long as they were created before you deleted the procedure.
If you restore a previously deleted global procedure, you will need to share it again with your sub-organizations.
Delete a Global Procedure
- From the sidebar, select the organization picker.
- In the Global Organization section, select a global organization. The Procedure Library opens.
- In the global procedure details, select (more options).
- Select Delete.
- When prompted, select Confirm to delete the global procedure.
When you delete a global procedure, the global procedure details display the deletion date and time.
Restore a Deleted Global Procedure
If you delete a global procedure by mistake, you can restore it from the Table view in the Procedure Library module.
To restore a deleted global procedure:
- From the sidebar, select the organization picker.
- In the Global Organization section, select a global organization. The Procedure Library opens.
- Select (Table View).
- In the Table view, select (Settings).
- In the Table view settings, go to Options and toggle on Show only deleted procedures.
- Select Apply. In the Table View, deleted procedures appear highlighted.
- Next to the global procedure you wish to restore, select (more options).
- Select Restore.
- When prompted, select Confirm to restore the selected global procedure.
Restoring a global procedure only applies at the global level. You will also need to publish the restored global procedure if you want sub-organizations to be able to use it. For details, see Share a Global Procedure.
