MaintainX CoPilot is an AI-powered maintenance assistant that helps you search your asset manuals, create work tasks, troubleshoot issues, and share insights directly within MaintainX®. MaintainX CoPilot provides support for all users, from technicians to Administrators, whether they’re on the shop floor or at their desks.

Overview​

MaintainX CoPilot facilitates your maintenance process by extracting and consolidating information from your manuals, work orders, procedures, and notes. As your team interacts with MaintainX CoPilot, you build an internal knowledge base that improves and gets more accurate over time.

You can use MaintainX CoPilot in your daily workflow to:

  • Ask questions about your assets.
  • Troubleshoot issues.
  • Add relevant information to your work orders.
  • Generate and improve procedures.
  • Translate SOPs into other supported languages.
  • Consolidate information across multiple manuals.

Ask Questions About Your Assets​

MaintainX CoPilot can search for relevant information in your manuals and internal data, such as work order summaries, to answer questions about your asset.

Prompt examples:

  • Do these manuals contain maintenance procedures?

Troubleshoot Issues With Your Assets​

You can take a picture of an asset or describe what you observe. MaintainX CoPilot can help diagnose potential causes and steps to resolve them.

Generate or Improve Procedures​

MaintainX CoPilot can suggest new procedures or ways to improve your existing procedures using your MaintainX CoPilot knowledge base.

Limitations​

MaintainX CoPilot enhances your maintenance workflows but has some limitations that can affect how it performs in specific scenarios.

  • MaintainX CoPilot supports PDF files up to 300MB in size.
  • For translation requests, MaintainX CoPilot defaults to English if the selected translation language is not supported. For details, see Supported Languages.
  • Voice notes are limited to 2 minutes.
  • If MaintainX CoPilot can't generate an answer to your prompt, it automatically times out after two minutes. If your chat times out, try refining or shortening your prompt and submit a new version of your request. If the issue persists, contact the MaintainX Support team for assistance.
