Maintenance Plan and Nested Preventive Maintenance - General Availability
Maintenance Plans and Nested Preventive Maintenance have moved from Beta to generally available. Maintenance Plans are a dedicated planning layer that gives you greater control over recurring work and nested preventive maintenance plans allow you to manage multiple recurring work orders with different schedules within a single plan.
The following article is updated:
Meters for Maintenance Plans (Beta)
Meters for Maintenance Plans are in Beta. We documented usage-based scheduling for maintenance plans. You can now trigger maintenance based on meter readings—such as every 5,000 miles—using fixed, usage-based, or floating schedules that combine calendar time and usage, whichever threshold is reached first.
The following articles are updated:
Transfer Assets Between Organizations
You can now transfer assets that have sub-work orders between organizations. MaintainX transfers active sub-work orders (open, in-progress, or on-hold) to the receiving organization as standalone copies. During asset configuration, you can keep each sub-work order as standalone or link it to an existing parent work order, and the sub-work orders inherit the recurrence and schedule of their parent.
The following article is updated:
Work Order Summaries on Mobile
When completing a work order with MaintainX CoPilot on mobile, you can now type a summary in the Tell your team how it went field in addition to recording a voice note. Your summary should cover the work that was done, any issues encountered, and the final outcome.
The following article is updated:
Report Builder Datasets
We added new Meters and Meter Readings datasets to Report Builder and updated the Users dataset, including a new Last Visited field. The documentation now describes the available fields for each dataset—data types, frequency types, and connected datasets—along with clarified field descriptions so you can build more detailed reports.
The following articles are updated:
Ignition Module
Ignition 8.3 support is now generally available. We removed the Beta labels and related notices from the Ignition 8.3 documentation.
The following articles are updated:
Vendors
We expanded the Vendors documentation to better describe vendor form fields, including how Administrators can add custom fields and how some organizations use a different label for vendors, such as Suppliers.
The following article is updated:
Data Import
We updated the entity import guides to cover inline editing, giving you clearer guidance on reviewing and correcting data directly in the importer.
The following articles are updated:
Part Availability
We updated the descriptions of the Available quantity to reflect the formula used in MaintainX: In Stock − Committed Stock. This clarifies how part availability is calculated across Parts Inventory and reporting.
