Smart Hub (Beta)

We added a new Smart Hub section with documentation for the central workspace for AI-powered skills in MaintainX. Smart Hub lets you set up skills to run recurring analyses, surface operational insights, identify trends, and generate reports, recommendations, or draft content. You can run skills on demand or schedule recurring runs, and review the results in the Smart Hub inbox. The new section includes an overview, the Smart Hub inbox, a consolidated guide for managing skill configurations, and pages for each available skill: End of Shift Summary, Parts Restocker, Performance and Trend Analyst, PM Plan Auditor, PM Schedule Monitor, Request Cleanup Helper, Root Cause Analyst, and To-Do List Summary.

Guest User Role

We added a new page documenting the Guest user role. A Guest is a limited-scope role that service teams can use to give customer contacts their own MaintainX account, so they can log in and track work without contacting your team directly. The page covers Guest seat requirements and pricing, inviting Guests from the Customers module, how Guests accept invitations, and the permissions Guests have for quotes, work orders, requests, assets, locations, and reporting. We also updated the custom role and default role permission guides.

Request Troubleshooting for Operators

We added a new page documenting the MaintainX mobile app feature that uses MaintainX Assist to guide Operators through asset troubleshooting before they submit a work request. When an Operator reports a problem, MaintainX Assist asks questions and suggests simple checks or small repairs. If the Operator resolves the issue, no request is created. If they can't, MaintainX prepares a prefilled request with the symptoms and steps the Operator already tried. The page covers the troubleshooting flow, what Operators can skip, where MaintainX Assist gets its information, and how Administrators configure the feature. We also updated the Operator user role page.

We also moved the existing Customers content into a dedicated Service section, updated the MaintainX for Service overview page, and updated External Work Orders to cover customer-facing sharing.
